Payroll Administrator

Permanent £25K - £27K DOE

We have an exciting opportunity for one of our award-winning Accountancy Firms based in Shrewsbury Shropshire.

With a period of growth, they are now looking to add to the team.


  • To prepare a range of payrolls of varying complexity in accordance with client deadlines and specific requirements. To ensure that employee calculations are correctly entered in accordance with client instruction onto Payroll Software.
  • To ensure that employee calculations are correctly entered in accordance with client instruction onto Iris Payroll Software
  • Process clients pension schemes, making sure calculations are checked for accuracy
  • To carry out year end
  • Employer services procedures, ensure all records are stored in line with GDPR policies
  • To support the team by undertaking HMRC PAYE/CIS, Pension provider and client queries

Ideal Candidate – Skills / Knowledge 

  • Have previous payroll experience (min 1 year
  • Be passionate about building client relationships
  • Excellent communicator
  • Have attention to detail
  • Willing to learn
  • Happy to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be a team player, have strong communication skills, organised and remain up to date on relevant payroll knowledge
