This role will be responsible for managing the Goods in department, ensuring that department runs effectively and efficiently meeting Company objectives, and in accordance with Company processes, policies and procedures.
·Strategically manage Goods In in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
·Oversee receiving, and dispatch in warehousing
·Make sure that all pick bins are stocked up for the days orders
·Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
·Initiate, coordinate and drive KPI and deliver results
·Manage stock and ensure correct process for inbound and outbound are followed
·Be the first point of contact for all matters surrounding Goods In
·Delegate day to day activities to the team
·Liaise with agency for staff resource driven by needs of the business
·Ensure new entrants are integrated into the team effectively utilising the Company Induction process
·Ensure probations for Goods In employees are completed within the appropriate timescales
·Plan and manage work rotas for the department
·Assign tasks appropriately based on employee skill set and abilities and appraise results
·Manage performance reviews with staff, obtaining relevant feedback and designing development plans for the team
·Manage holiday requests in accordance with company performance, and ensure adequate cover in place
·Complete sickness absence return to work interviews and report any concerns of high absenteeism or regular absence patterns
·Promote warehouse management procedures and best practices
·To identify talent and develop and build within your team
·Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security for the department
·Complete H&S incidents forms, and promote the importance of completion of near miss reports
·Deliver a morning brief to the team outlining goals and objectives for the day
·To make sure all MHE checks are being completed at the start of a shift
·Ensure all skills matrixes are up to date and staff are refreshed and trained in all compliance areas required
·Manage HR processes within the department.

·Previous management/supervisory experience within fast paced environment
·Evidence that you can work effectively under pressure whilst still delivering high standards
·Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
·Strong knowledge of warehousing, including hands on experience
