HR Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Benefits

Shawthorpe are working alongside an expanding business and are now looking to recruit an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic management team. This role will support with all HR services across the organization consisting of care and education services.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective management of the workforce ensuring compliance with employment legislation and maintaining a positive work culture.

  • Overseeing all HR functions, including safer recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, mandatory training trackers and talent development.
  • Providing guidance and advice to line managers and staff on HR policies, procedures and employment-related matters.
  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising vacancies to conducting interviews, making offers and fully adhering to safer recruitment requirements.
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies to attract, develop and retain high-performing staff.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the management of payroll and staff training.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit key HR processes and compliance areas across the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with HR, safeguarding policies and procedures, including overseeing the processing of DBS checks.

Skills and Experiences

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in HR Management, preferably in the social care and/or education sector, or otherwise regulated environment.
  • CIPD qualification Level 7, working towards or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices and safeguarding procedures.
  • Proven experience in managing the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to performance management and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and fully adhere to deadlines.
  • Proficiency to develop HR systems with the ability to generate accurate reports and analyses HR data.
  • Good people skills, knowing how to multi-agency work with other professionals internally and externally across other organizations.

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 17.30
